ABOUT MR. L
Mr. Lopategui has been teaching at Carson High School since 1997. During that time, he has taught art, photography, and a variety of computer courses. He has also coached the swim team. The current courses he teaches are 3D Animation I, II, III and Graphic Design.
Mr. Lopategui is a Nevada native. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Master's Degree from Portland State University. Mr. Lopategui has worked in the field of graphic design and has owned his own business. He designed the logo being used by Carson High School. He also spent one year in the Basque Country of Spain studying the Basque language and Spanish.
When not teaching, Mr. Lopategui enjoys outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, skiing and biking. He especially loves spending time and with his wife and two kids. Mr. Lopategui's claim to fame is that he has every vowel in his last name - L-O-P-A-T-E-G-U-I.
